Cookie Policy
Last updated June 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Kovaro uses, what they do, and how you can control them. We keep our use minimal — there are no third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. “Local storage” is a similar mechanism browsers provide for saving small amounts of data on your device. Both let a site remember things between visits — like keeping you signed in or saving your work.
Essential cookies
These are required for Kovaro to function. They keep the app running, remember your preferences, and protect against abuse. Kovaro will not work properly without them, so they can't be turned off from within the app.
Authentication
We use Clerk to sign you in and keep your session secure. Clerk sets cookies that identify your authenticated session so you don't have to log in on every page. These are strictly necessary for a logged-in experience.
Local storage
Kovaro stores some of your work and settings directly in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off. This data stays on your device until you clear it. Clearing your browser data removes locally stored work.
Analytics
We use PostHog to understand how people use Kovaro — which features are used, where users get stuck, and how to improve the product. This helps us build a better tool. We do not use analytics data for advertising.
No advertising cookies
We do not run third-party ad networks and we do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We don't sell your data to advertisers.
How to control cookies
You can manage or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or clear them per site. Note that blocking essential or authentication cookies may prevent you from signing in or using core features. To remove locally stored work, clear your browser data for Kovaro.
